Setting the Scene

Transforming 26.2 Miles into a Communication Network

With over 50,000 participants representing more than 120 countries, The Chicago Marathon is one of the globe’s most prestigious events. With nearly 1.5 million spectators lining the streets, the logistical challenge of transforming 26.2 miles of city infrastructure into a cohesive, safe, and high-energy atmosphere was a big hurdle. Organizers needed a communication network capable of reaching everyone, everywhere, instantly—without failure.

Making an Impact

Rugged Reliability Meets Real-Time Communication

Musco LED Videoboards played a crucial role in bringing this event to life, deploying a fleet of 25 MuscoMAX™ Mobile LED Video Trailers strategically throughout the course. We delivered a high-performance solution by providing:

  • Real-time race updates and critical safety information with crystal-clear visibility for runners and spectators alike.
  • Dynamic sponsor content—including key messaging for partners like Nike—and motivational visuals to energize participants from the starting line to the final stretch.
  • Instant communication adaptability, allowing organizers to shift messaging seamlessly as race conditions evolved.

Events of this magnitude demand precision-engineered solutions. Our MuscoMAX series delivered exactly that—quickly deployable, cutting-edge LED technology that performs when it matters most.
