Located in southeastern Iowa, William Penn University has built a reputation for delivering experiences that rival those at much larger institutions. From athletics to campus events, leaders are constantly looking for new ways to energize students, engage alumni, and create memorable moments for the community.
For William Penn, player and fan experience isn't limited to a single venue. Across campus, the university is investing in technologies that transform its athletic facilities into premier indoor and outdoor spaces.
Partnering with Musco helps the university to bring big ideas to life by providing lighting, entertainment, and video systems through one source. They get access to reliable technology, dedicated support, and long-term service that help the university achieve ambitious goals.
For the 2026-27 football season opener against Graceland University, William Penn integrated a multitude of temporary lighting and entertainment solutions with their existing stadium infrastructure, including a permanent LED videoboard system installed by Musco’s videoboard division.
Together, the technologies transformed a Heart of America Athletic Conference football game into a major event experience.
The addition of a new Videoboard-Structure System at Lacey Softball Complex gives the university a powerful new platform for game broadcasts, scoring information, fan engagement, and sponsor recognition.
Featuring more than 215 square feet of display area and nearly 200,000 pixels, it creates a more immersive environment that enhances the experience for athletes and spectators alike.
MuscoMAX Mobile Videoboard Trailer have transformed campus events and activities. The mobility and versatility of the videoboards allow the university to take high-quality event production beyond athletics, adding energy to outdoor movie nights, pep rallies, campus activities, and special events.
Musco’s Game Day Experience Team helped make the most of the special effects technology included in William Penn’s new systems, bringing its expertise in the design and execution of light shows and other unforgettable special effects.
