What started as a discussion about adding a new videoboard quickly evolved into a broader vision for the future of Friday night football at North Murray High School.

Recognizing the importance of delivering an unforgettable player and fan experience, school leaders saw the value in coordinating their videoboard upgrade with other facility enhancements – including new LED field lighting, light show technology, and upgraded audio capabilities.

To achieve this more vibrant, integrated game day experience, they relied on their trusted partner Musco to explore how to bring the vision to life on schedule, on budget, and built to last.

A More Immersive Experience with Video, Lighting, and Audio

Musco provided North Murray with an integrated stadium solution featuring a high-resolution Videoboard-Structure System™, TLC for LED® field lighting, Show-Light® entertainment technology, color-changing RGBW fixtures, upgraded audio, and advanced controls.  

Together, these new technologies bring a new kind of “Friday Night Lights” experience to Mountaineer home games. New for the 2026-27 season, players and fans enjoy:

• ‍Stunning HD Videoboard Displays – At more than 1,100-square-feet and featuring over one million pixels, North Murray’s new 45’ x 25’ videoboard is one of the largest in Georgia and instantly became the visual centerpiece of the stadium.  
• ‍A Unique, Tailored Visual Experience – The new videoboard transforms the game day experience with live video, instant replays, hype videos, player introductions, sponsor recognition, and other custom content.  ‍
• Improved Visibility and Playability – The project’s LED retrofit upgrade replaced the existing metal halide field lighting with Musco’s TLC for LED system. The new lighting meets Georgia High School Association Recommended Lighting Standards, eliminates glare from the line of sight, and greatly reduces spill light in the surrounding area. ‍
• Enhanced Game Day Entertainment Experience – The new lighting system includes Musco’s Show-Light entertainment technology, featuring color-changing fixtures, pole accent lighting, and cutting-edge light shows with light-to-music synchronization.  ‍
• Integrated, Easy-to-Use System Controls – An intuitive set of digital controls allows facility staff to easily coordinate videoboard content, lighting effects, scoring, and game clock functions. With the touch of a button, staff can trigger coordinated special effects for touchdowns, halftime shows, and postgame celebrations. They also can incorporate third-party technology, like PixMob LED wristbands, to heighten the experience.
